Hike from the coast near big sur to top of Mt. Carmel, elev 4,417 ft
9.8 mile roundtrip + 2,767 ft vertical, trailhead is at Botchers Gap
30min south of carmel.
- Pinnacles Nat'l Monument
Hot, south of san jose, good for winter time

Directions:
From Highway 280 in Santa Clara County, exit Page Mill Road.
Drive west to the junction with Skyline Boulevard (Highway 35).
Turn left and drive south on skyline blvd. about 1 mile, to the preserve entrance on the right side of the road [entrance is easy to miss].
Park at the north lot (to the right).
